An all-too-brief respite from the various crises at work

My friend E and I are off for a pleasant day in the rustic village of Willy-Nilly-on-the-Wash, during the glorious reign of her gracious majesty Queen Elizabeth, the first of that name. (sounds like a press release, no?) We're driving down tomorrow to stay with a couple of my oldest friends (dating back to 4th and 8th grades-- and no, I don't want to figure how many years that's been) and spend Saturday at the Ohio Renaissance Festival. It's always a lot of fun. In the local vernacular, Huzzah!
And a quick update on my sister. The surgery went well, except for an unexplained drop in blood pressure after it was over. They dealt with that, and she's due to go home tomorrow afternoon. Then she's in for lots of physical therapy. Hopefully, that will go smoothly.
Then, sadly, it's back to the reality of RL on Monday. :(
