Doing double duty as a birthday mathom

A recreation of a Christmas card fic (to the best of my recollection, since I didn't keep a copy of the original, having written it on a piece of scrap paper which has long since been recycled) posted at lbilover's suggestion.




"Hobbits!" Gandalf harrumphed, as he watched Frodo and Sam walk off into the woods surrounding the camp. "They know better than to wander off alone. I'd better follow and make certain that they don't get into any trouble. After all, I did promise Bilbo that I'd keep an eye on Frodo." With an irritated frown creasing his forehead, the wizard rose and stealthily followed the two hobbits.
Hearing quiet rustling sounds ahead of him, he increased his pace until he came to a clearing where he paused in amazement at the sight of Frodo and Sam in a tight embrace, their hands working busily to remove the clothes that stood between them. As they sank, naked, to the ground, he arranged himself in a comfortable vantage point, murmuring "Yes, dear Bilbo, I do believe that I can definitely spare two eyes."

*squeeeee* I'm so very glad you reconstructed this fic and posted it!!! I just love that Gandalf doesn't leave but makes himself comfortable and watches. Lucky Gandalf!! And the last line is omg so wonderful!! Ahahahaha!! Quite an eyeful he got!! :D:D:D
