Sadly, the bulk of our building is just over 2 years old. When we expanded, they just added onto the existing building (dating back to the 1920's and having major structural problems) instead of just razing the entire place and starting from a level playing field (the choice of all the focus groups we held and the staff--but what do we know?). So what we have is a two story building that has 4 levels--ground level, one floor up, half a floor down, and then 4 steps down from that (to accomodate the height of the boiler, or some such nonsense) and looks "nice" in an ultra-conservative way but has zero practicality or functionality for the staff. The flood was in the new part.
