After all, what else does a good library need?

Someone (I'm guessing our director) posted this on our staff Wiki:

Favorite new patron comment -- submitted in our suggestion box. Printing looks to be an early-elementary school child. Comment:
"Your a good library because you have a good paraket."

(we have a parakeet in the Children's Room)

LOL! How cute is that? I'm going suggest that we get a paraket at my library since that's what makes a library good. :))

Yeah, who needs a library cat? Much better to have a paraket! (for the cat to eat, maybe? Sky (our parakeet) can be extremely noisy at times...) *g*

Hey, the way the budget keeps getting cut, the parakeet will be the only thing we can afford to have (the children's librarian foots the bill for most, if not all, of his upkeep). Who needs books, anyway?
