People can be such pigs

I'd like to be able to chalk it up to the full moon, but I don't think so. Sometime late Thursday night or early Friday morning, someone decided to urinate all over the mirror, counter, walls, and everything else in the men's restroom, as well as totally plug the toilet. Our poor custodian thus got to spend the better part of later Friday morning cleaning up the mess. Cut to Saturday morning. Our children's librarian discovered that someone has tossed urine all over one of the difficult-to-see-into corners of the children's room, splashing walls, shelves, books, carpet, window ledge, window seat cushion--you get the picture. Not a pretty sight. She and her page spent a good chunk of Saturday cleaning up as much of that as they could. Meanwhile, on Friday the pad which we use to link our barcodes with our security tags decided to stop working for no discernible reason. I checked all the connections, restarted the computer, nada. Had to wait until the director got back on Monday to get authorization to call for repairs. Monday, a new wrinkle gets added to the ever-growing list of issues. About 12:30, the computers all went down. Totally kaput. We had to call in the guys from our regional system (which manages our automation system) to come in and deal with it (a Shawn and a Sean, no less!). About 3:00 we got the computers back. Tuesday morning we came in and about half of the computers were down again (mine *not* one of them, happily for me). So Sean had to come back to fix the problem--apparently we've got a server with issues, or something. And the repair guy came in for our programming pad and it decided to work for him (after three days of constant checking on our part and it *not* working). So I'm almost dreading coming to work this morning, and with reason, as it turns out. I walk into my department and one of my people tells me that it's happened again. What happened--there're so many to choose from. The same corner of the children's room got urinated even more thoroughly this time. The playback from our security cameras is not being at all helpful (they don't cover that part of the library at all). So we've called the police and the insurance adjuster and the security company to see about getting more cameras. Plus, the condenser or compressor in our HVAC is shot--a $10,000.00 bill, according to the director. I'm not about to ask what else could go wrong, because I don't want to know.
One of these days I'm going to post something happy or upbeat or positive about work, and y'all will drop dead from shock. (but I think you have nothing to worry about for the foreseeable future

yeah, I so wanted a "disgusted" mood but there was none to be found...
